The Chief Executive Officer, Rimax Group of companies, Chief Livinus Okwara has promised to gift each player of the Super Eagles of Nigeria with a plot of land in Ogun State for reaching the final of the AFCON 2023.

Okwara, who is also an All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain said as a Nigerian, he has an obligation to support the country’s sports men in whatever they do.

“Sports is one of the areas where the nation gains recognition and respect internationally and Nigeria is no exception. For the African Cup of Nations (AFCON), I have been particularly very interested and it has been interesting.

“Many Nigerians did not believe in the team because of past performances but this year, it has taken a new turn as our team has moved from strength to strength at different stages of the game.

“The president has made interesting comments to show that Nigerian sports men must brace up. That sector is very important to us. It’s one of the factors that have contributed to the unity of the country. During the semi-final, they competed well beating South Africa and our joy knew no bounds. We are at the success.”

On his promise to the Super Eagles in response to the team’s great performance, Chief Okwara said:  “My message to the Super Eagles is that when they are back, I will give them a plot of land each. The 24 players will get a plot of land each member for reaching the final and for the person that scores the winning goal, I will give N1m. The portions of the land are in Ogun State, the industrial hub of the country.
