Katsina State governor, Aminu Bello Masari, has urged the people to remain peaceful during and after the presidential and National Assembly elections.

Speaking at his Adult Education School polling unit in Kafur Local Government Area where he cast his votes at about 11.30 am, Masari said he was impressed with what he described as the large voter turnout in the area.

He said the people should exercise their franchise peacefully while voting for their choice of leaders and also pray to God for sustained peace.

“Nigeria is bigger than any individual politician or political organisation and I appeal to politicians and political parties to respect the sanctity of life during and after the elections,” Masari said.
