Senior Pastor, Divine Army Ministries International, Prophet Akiode Olusegun, has warned against the continued incarceration of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, saying the consequences could be grave.
He made the disclosure at a media briefing on his 2024 prophecies, which he titled ‘Nigeria: Land of Prospects and Envy-2024 in Retrospect’.
The cleric further warned that Kanu must not be silenced the way the acclaimed winner of June 12, 1993 presidential election, Chief M.K.O. Abiola, was silenced, cautioning that this would bring an orgy of death and pandemonium to Yorubaland, which, he said, was what some people wanted.
According to him, “There is a clever move by some powerful Nigerians to block the release of Chief Kanu. The most skilful of them is a Northern politician, extremely intelligent, and a very powerful man, who is not presently happy with President Bola Tinubu. Asiwaju is cool and wise.”
On what could be done to avoid the bloodshed, Olusegun said Kanu should be released latest by next Easter or his current location, and all security details around him should be changed to give him maximum protection.
On the economy, he noted that things have gone from bad to worse before the present administration under President Bola Tinubu, came to power. He said the administration has spent seven months in office, which he described as too short to judge an administration on positive impact on the country.
He, however, assured that that by June 2024, the government would begin to record signs of breakthrough, because the master key of Nigeria was placed in President Tinubu’s hand by the heavens.
But to achieve that, he said the Government should have close ties with India in order to bring back Indian companies that have eclipsed from Nigeria.
On what Nigeria needs to do to come out of this age long confusion, Prophet Olusegun said Almond trees should be planted all over Nigeria because it is the tree of prosperity, ruling over Lagos in the 60s and 70s, but drying out of Nigeria now.
