The reinstated Chairman of All Progressive Congress, (APC), in Benue State, Comrade Austin Agada has called on party members to continue to support the state Governor, Rev Fr Hyacinth Alia to enable him deliver desired dividends to the state.
Agada who spoke on Tuesday at the party secretariat in Makurdi, after he was received by party supporters, called for synergy amongst the party members and those in public office to deliver the party’s campaign promises.
Agada was on Monday, February 12, 2024, reinstated as the state party chairman by the state high court in Makurdi.
He was suspended earlier by his Ehaje council ward party exco following the internal crisis rocking the party in the state.
After his suspension, a member of the party, Moses Agaba, secured court injunction restraining him from parading himself as chairman and carrying out any activity of the party in the state.
Agada was further replaced by Mr Benjamin Omakolo which was later nullified last Monday by the state Chief Judge, Justice Maurice Ikpambese.
Speaking to newsmen in Makurdi on Tuesday, Agada who appreciated the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, (SGF), Senator George Akume, appealed to all party members in the state to join hands with him to ensure success of the party.
“We reiterate our support for the APC administration of Rev Fr Hyacinth Alia and we call for synergy amongst all party members and those in public offices to collectively deliver APC’s campaign promises to our people,” he added.
