Kano State governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has expressed dismay over the ongoing Ramadan Feeding programme in Kano.

This was contained in a statement issued by Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, the governor’s spokesperson.

The governor said he was disappointed with the programme during an impromptu visit to one of the feeding centres in Gidan Maza, Municipal Local Government Area.

Yusuf also conveyed his dissatisfaction with the conduct of the programme handlers, whom he believed were depriving the intended beneficiaries.

“We will not accept dishonesty and mismanagement of public resources. It is imperative to note that the allocated funds for this initiative are meticulously documented at each centre,” the governor cautioned

The governor went on the inspection following reports indicating deficiencies in the management of the feeding programme at various centres across the metropolis.
