Police in Belgium have identified a fan who racially abused Nigeria kid sensation, Gift Orban with a post on social media.
According to KAA Gent, just like Vinicius Junior of Real Madrid, Spain, Gift Orban has also been the victim of racist statements in our country.
The racist comment was posted by a fan on Twitter on May 7, under a video that was shared by Eleven in which Orban kicked Sclessin on the crossbar from kick-off.
The fan’s post read: “Give him a banana’ and retarded blacks.”
In a swift reaction, Gent announced that the reactions were then reported to the competent authorities, including a complaint to the police.
“In the meantime, the person has been identified by the police and his file has been transferred to the public prosecutor’s office,” the Buffalos informed.
“We have of course also noticed the racism incident in La Liga last weekend and refer to it again.
“Whether you’re Vinicius Jr, Gift Orban, or anyone else, we’re not going to let this pass,” the clubs said. With the #SayNoToRacism hashtag.
