It was an atmosphere of inspiration and empowerment on Friday, October 10, 2025, as women from across Nigeria’s real estate and business sectors gathered at the Merit House, Maitama, Abuja, for the Real Estate Queens Conference 2.0, organized by Capital City Development Ltd.
Themed “Resilience,” the conference brought together a diverse mix of realtors, investors, and entrepreneurs who shared practical insights and real-life stories about navigating challenges and driving success in a fast-changing industry.
Convener of the event, Mrs. Nkwawi Jilantikiri Kalu described the conference as a platform created to build capacity, foster collaboration, and amplify women’s voices in real estate.
> “Resilience is what keeps vision alive. Every woman building in this sector knows that challenges are inevitable, but strength, consistency, and community make the difference,” she said in her address.
The event featured an impressive lineup of speakers, including Pst. Mrs. Favour Osiri-Wisdom, who spoke on purpose and faith in leadership; Hon. Dr. Asabe Vilita Bashir, who emphasized women’s role in national development; Amb. Tiana-Wealth Christopher Bassey, who shared strategies for financial growth; and Mrs. Jennifer Mike-Alicha, who offered practical insights on succeeding in real estate.
Throughout the day, participants engaged in panel discussions, mentorship sessions, and networking activities focused on building resilience, leadership, and financial independence among women. The energy in the room reflected a shared determination to break barriers and redefine success in the real estate sector.
The conference also reached a wider audience through a Facebook livestream, allowing women from across the country to join the conversation virtually.
Supported by Capital City Development Ltd., in partnership with Africore Construction Ltd., ESP Realtors Ltd., City Core Ltd., and Property Trade Ltd., the event underscored the growing influence of women in shaping the future of real estate in Nigeria.
