QShelter Limited, a digital property platform, in partnership with The Fitness Religion Company (TFRC), has hosted the maiden edition of its fitness and lifestyle initiative tagged the “2004 M00VE Experience” at the 2004 Estate along the Monastery axis of the Lagos Coastal Road corridor.
The event brought together participants from across Nigeria for a series of physical and wellness activities including a mini-marathon, fun run, aerobics sessions, dance workouts, a 5-a-side football match, and strength-based competitions. Organisers said the initiative was designed to promote healthy living while showcasing the vision of the emerging residential community.
A major highlight of the event was the marathon segment, which featured 5km and 22km categories for both male and female athletes. Winners emerged across categories, with participants praising the organisation and the emphasis on fitness inclusion for people of different age groups and abilities.
Chairman, QShelter Limited, Kola Sowande, said the M00VE Experience reflects a growing commitment to integrating wellness into modern residential development. According to him, the initiative is aimed at encouraging active lifestyles while also giving prospective homeowners a firsthand experience of the community vision behind the 2004 Estate.
He noted that the estate is being positioned not only as a housing project but as a wellness-oriented environment designed to support healthier living.
“This initiative goes beyond real estate promotion. It is about demonstrating how communities like the 2004 Estate can actively support healthier lifestyles through structured recreational and fitness activities. We are excited by the turnout and hope to make this an annual platform that grows in impact,” he said.
On his part, Chief Operating Officer, QShelter Limited, Gbenga Alamu, added that the estate’s design reflects long-term planning around sustainability, health, and environmental resilience. He explained that features such as elevated building structures to reduce flood risk, recreational spaces, and planned fitness-friendly infrastructure are part of a broader vision for healthier urban living.
“From the beginning, this project has been guided by the idea of building not just homes, but a healthy and sustainable community. We studied the environment and existing lifestyle patterns and intentionally designed a space that supports wellness and active living,” he said.
Nollywood actor and influencer, Tobi Bakre, who participated in the event, described the initiative as an effective way of encouraging physical activity while building community engagement. He noted that the range of activities allowed participation across different fitness levels, making the event inclusive and socially engaging.
Female 22km marathon winner, Fadekemi Erinle, commended the organisers for promoting athletic development and wellness awareness, adding that such initiatives help strengthen sports culture in Nigeria.
Developed in partnership with Continental Civil General Construction Limited, the 2004 Estate is positioned as a modern residential community integrating smart infrastructure, environmental sustainability, and wellness-focused design.
Located approximately 23 minutes from Victoria Island via the Lagos Coastal Road, the estate features internal road networks, gated security with CCTV, recreational centres, hybrid and solar-powered energy systems, and round-the-clock water and electricity supply. It also offers flexible payment plans and access through the MREIF Mortgage scheme, aimed at expanding homeownership opportunities.
Organisers say the M00VE experience will continue as an annual event, reinforcing the link between healthy living and modern residential development.
