Protest in Kaduna over Shehu Sani on certificate forgery

From FRED ITUA, Abuja

The Kaduna Progressive Initiative (KPI) has condemned attempt by agents purportedly out to tarnish the image of the senator representing Kaduna Central senatorial district, Senator Shehu Sani over alleged certificate forgery.

In a statement issued and signed by its Coordinator, Alhaji Muhammadu Ibrahim yesterday, the initiative described the Kaduna Central Peoples Forum as a sponsored group commissioned to rubbish the senator who is viewed as a threat to those in power.

“For the avoidance of doubt, Senator Shehu Sani did not forge his secondary school certificate or any of his certificates and he did not lie on oath to INEC or any electoral body about his academic qualifications.

“The so called Kaduna Central Peoples Forum does not represent the interest of the people of Kaduna central.

Ibrahim also said the agents have failed in their mission and wondered why after two years in the Senate, the issue of certificate forgery is taking the front burner.

He assured that the KPI will resist any move to distract Senator Sani from performing his legislative duties, as the body believes in his representation and the people of Kaduna Central feel his impact as their senator.
