AC Milan winger Samuel Chukwueze has expressed his delight after helping the Rossoneri secure a 2-1 away victory over Torino in their opening Serie A fixture on Sunday night.
Chukwueze was deployed in a wing-back role under new manager Ruben Amorim and delivered an impressive performance, earning the official Man of the Match (Motm) award from Serie A.
The Nigeria international provided the assist for Adrien Rabiot’s second goal at the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino in Turin, playing a key role in Milan’s successful start to the Serie A campaign.
Speaking to DAZN after the game, the Nigerian international said he was very satisfied with the result and was ready to look ahead to the challenges of the new campaign.
“Now we have to look forward, but I’m very satisfied,” Chukwueze said via Tuttomercatoweb.
Chukwueze also promised to give his best throughout the season, insisting he is ready to ‘run all over the wing’ whenever called upon by the Milan coaching staff.
“I’m ready, I can’t wait, and I’ll do it all season,” he added.
Amorim will be hoping the Nigerian international can maintain his impressive form as AC Milan look to mount a strong challenge for the Serie A title.
