Prof Akubue emerges Enugu ADC chairman

Professor Uche Akubue has emerged as the new chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Enugu State, following the recent congress in the Coal-City of Enugu.

According to the Executive Director, Fanatic Patriots and former President of All African Students for Peace and Development in Africa, Martins Chiedozie Ugwu, Akubue’s emergence had opened a new chapter in the politics of Enugu State ahead of the 2027 elections.

Thousands of party faithful, supporters and stakeholders had, recently, gathered in Enugu to elect the new chairman in a proces many described as a collective expression of hope, confidence and belief in a new direction for the party.

In his acceptance speech, Akubue assured the mammoth crowd of his commitment to reposition the ADC for greater unity, visibility and electoral success in Enugu State.

He noted that his vision was to build a strong internal cohesion, launch a grassroots mobilisation and mould a disciplined political structure capable of delivering victory.

Speaking about Akubue, Ugwu described him as a man widely respected for his exceptional intellect, leadership acumen and academic distinction.

“Prof Akubue represents a rare blend of academic rigour and practical political wisdom with native intelligent.

“His leadership pedigree is not built on empty rhetoric or fleeting populism, but on discipline, foresight and a demonstrated capacity for thoughtful engagement. “His emergence offers renewed confidence that the party’s affairs will be guided by substance, strategic clarity and a firm commitment to principled governance.

“It is evident that under his leadership, the ADC is poised to become not just an alternative platform, but a formidable force in the state’s political landscape.

“His emergence is more than a change of leadership; it represents an alignment of purpose, people and possibility.

“For a state yearning for structured and intellectually driven leadership, Akubue’s emergence offers a compelling sense of direction and renewed political hope. Enugu has not merely made a choice; it has made a statement,” he stated.

The chairman also reiterated that the era of preparation haf passed, insisting that the season of execution had begun.
