Prelate presents new Archbishop, Olawuyi, to Archdiocese of Lagos

Newly consecrated Archbishop of Lagos Methodist Church Nigeria, Dr. Isaac Ayobami Olawuyi, will be formally dedicated and presented to the congregation of the Archdiocese of Lagos by the Prelate of Methodist Church Nigeria, Dr. Samuel Chukwuemeka Kanu Uche, at the Wesley Cathedral, Olowogbowo, Lagos, tomorrow.

Also, newly consecrated Lay President, Archdiocese of Lagos, Sir Peter Olorunifemi, as well as his Diocese of Lagos counterpart, Sir Gbolahan Olayomi, are expected to be formally dedicated and presented at the event.

Olawuyi, who will deliver his maiden sermon, at the event, was the former presbyter, Ereko Methodist Church, Lagos Circuit, before being translated to Hoare’s Memorial Methodist Church Cathedral, Herbert Macaulay Street, Sabo, Yaba, Lagos, where he was elevated to establish the Diocese of Lagos West at Palm Avenue, Mushin, Lagos, as the founding bishop.

He was later transferred to the Hoares Memorial Methodist Church Cathedral, Sabo, Yaba, Lagos.

Olawuyi, an astute scholar and a distinguished   administrator, is determined to expand God’s ministry to the highest level at all times.

A philanthropist of note, whose zeal to win more souls to Christ positively, the new archbishop has continued to positively and constructively endear himself to the entire Methodist Church Nigeria community.
