Kanshio community in Makurdi, the Benue State capital, was last Monday, thrown into a joyful mood following the reconstruction of the vandalized 33 KV electric tower close to the corporate headquarters of the Lower Benue River Basin Authority.

The tower after being vandalized by unidentified stealers was standing menacingly in a manner that posed grave threats to members of the public.

The situation led the Managing Director of Jos Electricity Distribution Plc, Engr Abdu Bello Mohammed to promptly visit the scene of the incident jointly with his entire management team about a week ago for an on-the-spot assessment of the damaged tower.

The Managing Director who was greatly perturbed by the unfortunate situation after denouncing the nefarious activity of the hoodlums promised that efforts had been put in place to reconstruct the tower with the view to restoring power to the affected customers without delay.

After spending two days at the site with his team, Engr Mohammed left behind a formidable technical team to reconstruct the tower as scheduled.

Exactly, one week after the visit, the tower was reconstructed and re-erected and the power was restored.

Reacting to the development, an elated Engr. Mohammed who said that he was very proud of his technical crew thanked them for a job well done.
