Police recover 19 stolen vehicles in Abuja

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Police Command has announced the recovery of 19 stolen vehicles in various parts of the FCT and its environs.

The recoveries according to the command’s public relations officer Josephine Adeh  happened between January and February 2025.

This is just as the Commissioner of Police, Tunji Disu, has called on vehicle owners  to adopt proactive measures to secure their vehicles.

He said the installation of vehicle tracking devices is strongly recommended to significantly enhance the likelihood of swift recovery in the event of theft.

Adeh, in a statement said the vehicles were recovered in Jos, Niger, Kaduna, and within the FCT.

“We advise vehicle owners to avoid parking in isolated areas, maintain vigilance at all times, and promptly report any suspicious activities to law enforcement. The FCT Police Command assures the community of its unwavering dedication to curbing criminal activities and ensuring that offenders are brought to justice.
