Police presents N11.4m cheques to families of deceased officers in Kebbi

The money was presented under the Group Life Assurance (GLA) and Group Personal Accident (GPA) Insurance Schemes, in fulfilment of the Nigeria Police Force’s commitment to the welfare of families of its deceased personnel.

Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) Kebbi State command, SP Bashir Usman confirmed this in a statement made available to newsmen in Birnin Kebbi.

Usman explained that the cheques were presented by the Commissioner of Police, Kebbi State Command, Umar M. Hadejia,  on behalf of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu.

According to him, “the Commissioner of Police reaffirmed the commitment of the Inspector-General of Police and the Force Management Team to the welfare of officers and their families.

 

“He noted that the service and contributions of the deceased officers to the nation remain deeply appreciated and will not be forgotten, adding that the benefits will provide meaningful support to their families”.

 

He added that some of the  beneficiaries expressed  gratitude to the Inspector-General of Police, the Force Management Team and the Commissioner of Police for the gesture, describing it as a demonstration of the Force’s continued care for the families of its deceased officers.
