The Kano State Police Command has arrested a 25-year-old woman, Maimunatu Idris, for allegedly stabbing her boyfriend and completely cutting off his manhood during a violent altercation in Badawa.
Command spokesman, CSP Abdullahi Kiyawa confirmed the incident in an X post on Tuesday morning.
Daily Sun gathered that the incident occurred at about 12:50 p.m. on Monday, July 27 at Durbar Hotel in Badawa.
According to the police, preliminary investigations indicate that Idris, who hails from Maigatari Local Government Area of Jigawa State, severed her boyfriend’s manhood with a knife following a dispute reportedly triggered by his decision to marry another woman.
The management of the hotel alerted security operatives to the violent altercation.

The Divisional Police Officer of Badawa Division promptly led a team of detectives to the scene, where the suspect was arrested and the knife allegedly used in the attack was recovered as an exhibit.
Kiyawa added that the injured man was immediately evacuated to Abubakar Imam Urology Hospital, where he is receiving medical treatment, while detectives have commenced a full investigation into the incident.
The Kano State Commissioner of Police, Ibrahim Bakori, strongly condemned the attack, describing violence as an unacceptable response to personal disagreements.
“The Nigeria Police Force is constitutionally empowered to investigate, arrest and prosecute offenders through due process. Members of the public should desist from taking the law into their own hands under any guise,” the police commissioner said.
