… Electoral officer found in possession of over 200 result sheets

Result sheets for the Presidential elections in about 200 polling units in Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State are missing.
The result sheets were not given to INEC officials in the morning along with other electoral materials distributed for the exercise.
It was discovered that the electoral officer did not distribute the results sheets until at about 6pm when voting was rounding off in most of the polling units.
As at the time of filing this report, the electoral officer was found with the result sheets while the INEC Resident Electoral Commissioner and security personnel were seen moving round to polling units to distribute the result sheets.
It was also observed that voting was still ongoing in most parts of the state on account of late arrival of voting materials and malfunctioning of the BVAS.
In Alheri Centre polling unit in Jos North, voters were still on queue waiting patiently to cast their votes.
The voters insisted on being on the queue until they exercised their franchise.
