Governorship candidate in Plateau under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Caleb Mutfwang, has unveiled his political philosophy for people of the state, listing security, economy, education among other sectors as top priorities if given the mandate at the March 11 poll.
Mutfwang, who unveiled the policy document at a fundraising event in Abuja, described his strategic document as a compendium of social contract between his team and Plateau people.
He said he will provide a sound and visionary political leadership geared towards reversing the decline of the state’s broken hope and economy as well as unlocking the potential of the state for the prosperity of the people.
In a statement, yesterday, by the Director of Media and Publicity Atiku-Okowa/Mutfwang-Piyo Campaign Council, Plateau State, Yiljap Abraham said the document represented his vision towards solving the challenges confronting Plateau people.
Mutfwang also unveiled a website through which supporters, party members and stakeholders can make financial contributions towards the success of the campaigns.
“The restorative plan is embedded in a seven-point agenda, including peace and security. This is at the top of all priorities because it is the enabler of every development.
“The plan outlines a multi-faceted approach to defending and securing the state. These include operation rainbow framework; community empowerment and vigilance.
The economy plans proposes a creative, resourceful and sustainable approach to agriculture, tourism, solid minerals development, commerce and sports development.
“Part of the plan on education is the focus on bringing back the people’s confidence in public schools. The goal is to raise the quality of education in the whole state across all tiers of institutions with emphasis on science and technology,” he said.
