Plateau State Governor, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, has launched the Plateau State e-Governance Platform, a new initiative aimed at improving transparency, efficiency, and accountability in governance.
The platform, accessible via the toll-free line (08000005555) and http://egov.plateaustate.gov.ng/, allows citizens and businesses to engage with the government in a more seamless manner. They can provide feedback, request services, and interact with various government agencies, leading to a more effective administration.
In his inaugural message, Governor Mutfwang highlighted the platform’s importance in promoting citizen-government interaction. He encouraged the public to actively use the platform to engage with the government, offering feedback, sharing opinions on policies, and inquiring about services offered by various MDAs. This two-way communication will ensure timely feedback and enhance the government’s responsiveness to the needs of its citizens.
The platform offers numerous benefits, including increased efficiency, convenience, transparency, accountability, improved communication, and engagement. It also offers significant cost savings for Plateau citizens, eliminating the need for frequent visits to government offices.
Developed by Hephzibah Integrated Technologies Ltd. and operated under the Plateau State Information and Communication Technology Development Agency (PICTDA), led by Director General Mr. Datong Dominic Gwamnan, the e-Governance Platform demonstrates the administration’s commitment to leveraging technology for improved service delivery and citizen engagement.
With its user-friendly interface and comprehensive features, the Plateau State e-Governance Platform promises to revolutionise the way citizens interact with their government, paving the way for a more transparent, efficient, and accountable administration.
