Plateau further relaxes curfew In Jos-Bukuru metropolis

The Plateau State Government has announced a further review of the curfew imposed on the Jos-Bukuru metropolis.
The time is now from 7: 00 am to 7: 00 pm.Director of Press and Public Affairs to Governor Gyang Bere, in a statement yesterday ,said that:”As from Tuesday, August 13, 2024, residents are permitted to engage in their lawful activities from 7:00 am to 7:00 PM daily, pending further review”.
He said that the decision was reached by Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, in consultations with security agencies and key stakeholders.
The Governor, he said, emphasized that,” this step reflects the government’s confidence in the improved security situation and its commitment to restoring normalcy across the state”.
The statement further said that the governor expressed his profound gratitude to the people for their unwavering patriotism, resilience, and cooperation during the period of the curfew.
He urged all residents to maintain their collaboration with security agencies to ensure the continued safety and security of lives and property.
