Latep urges Mangu people to be torchbearer in 2023

The Traditional Council in Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State have received the governorship candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Barr Caleb Mutfwang, and gave him their royal blessings ahead of the 2023 General Elections.
The Mishkaham Mwaghavul, Da John Putmang Hirse, who blessed Barr Mutfwang along other Districts head in his Palace in Mangu, admonished the governorship candidate to be honest, sincere and fair to all in the discharge of his mandate when he come Governor.
He said the PDP campaign team is made up of men of timber and caliber and said it would be difficult to be uprooted coupled with the acceptability of the party by the people.
“Yu team is made up of men of timber and caliber and it would be difficult for any storm to uproot you. I want you to be honest and sincere in all you are doing for the people and God will grant you success,” e stated.
The Sum Pyem of the Pyem Chiefdom in Gindiri, Mangu Local Government Area, Mr Charles Mato, expressed gratitude to God for bringing Caleb Mutfwang to fly the ticket of the PDP in the next election.
He noted that Mutfwang had demostrated leadership capacity during he tenure as Local Government Chairman where he graded rural roads and left indelible footprint that would speak for him in the next election.
Mr. Mato said PDP is a household name on the Plateau which most residents are anxiously waiting to vote and equated the acceptability of the party to NASCO products which are found in every house holds.
He urged Mutfwang to be fair to all and look into the dilapidated palaces of traditional rulers in across the state with a view to giving it a befitting outlook and work to ensure that the role of the traditional rulers is enshrined in the Nigeria constitution.
Mutfwang said he has gone round the state to interface with the people where he received assurances and is culminating the engagement in Mangu, his home town.
He noted that all the governorship aspirants have agreed to give him the needed support to win the general elections.
Mutfwang said he will overhaul the palace of the traditional ruler and give the traditional institution the desired attention when he become Governor.
The Director General, Atiku/Mutfwang Campaign Council, Hon Latep Dabang, said since 1999, he has always carried a successful political assignment which turned out victorious and said he is saddle with the responsibility of ushering Mutfwang to Plateau Government House, Jos.
Latep urged Mangu people to be the torchbearer in the next elections, which other nationalities would follow to deliver Mutfwang to succeed Governor Simon Lalong on May 29.
