The Honourable Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Senator Heineken Lokpobiri has sent heartfelt condolences to the government and people of Niger State on the petrol tanker explosion on the Bida-Agaie-Lapai- road on Sunday in Niger State, which claimed the lives of several people, and left many injured.
The Minister made this known in a statement on Monday, describing the incident as a devastating loss for the entire nation.
The statement reads: “I wish to express my deepest sympathy to the Government and the good people of Niger State over the unfortunate petrol tanker explosion that occurred yesterday along the Bida-Agaie-Lapai road.
“This tragic incident, which claimed the lives of several people, left many injured, and caused significant damage to properties, is indeed a devastating loss for the entire nation.
“In offering my sincere prayers for a swift and full recovery to those injured, my heartfelt condolences go out to the families of those who lost their loved ones in this tragedy. I pray that God grants them the strength and fortitude to bear this profound loss.”
Lokpobiri noted that the Federal Government remained committed to implementing stricter safety measures to mitigate such occurrences in the future.
