A ‘school father’ at Ube School for the Deaf, Kuje, Abuja, has admitted to the authorities that he had been sodomising pupils of the school. He was the ‘school father’ to Imran, the six-year-old deaf boy who exposed how he and other pupils of the school were being abused.
The ‘school father’ who is 21-years old and in Primary 5, finally confessed to the abominable crime last Thursday, February 14, 2019, after several denials. He admitted to sodomising Imran both in the hostel and in the toilet.
Imran’s mother, Dr. Hannatu, Ayuba Usman, an oncologist, and his grandmother, Hajia Salamatu Abubakar Maina, had at the February 4, 2019 edition of Brekete Family Talk Show on Human Rights Radio/Television, narrated the boy’s ordeal at the School for the Deaf, Kuje, Abuja, in just one term he spent there.
In a text message to our correspondent, Dr. Usman said: “Finally this evening, February 14, 2019, Imran’s ‘school father’ has confessed that he used to sodomise Imran.
“Those officials feeding fat on the rotten boarding system have tried tooth and nail to convince the world that Imran was imagining things. They made the ‘school father’ to vehemently deny the allegations but the police took Imran to their specialists for thorough examinations which confirmed sexual abuse and assault on his body. “With such results today, they further interrogated the ‘school father’ who confessed that he used to sodomise the child in the hostel and in the toilet.
“So pathetic! Even the ‘school father’ is a victim of the system. At age 21, he is in Primary 5 and cannot write. The same hostel patron, (who remained mute when asked by the head teacher if he ever heard the cry of a child) was the school father’s interpreter.”
