PDP candidate Musa-Maidoki defeats incumbent Sen Na’Allah to clinch Senate seat

The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) senatorial candidate for Kebbi South, senatorial district, Alhaji Garba Musa-Maidoki, has defeated the incumbent senator from the District, Sen Bala Ibn Na’Allah of All Progressives Congress (APC) to clinch the Senate seat.

While declaring the winner at Zuru, the Returning Officer of the election, Prof Ahmed Balarebe disclosed that the PDP candidate scored 75,232 to defeat Na’Allah, who received 70,785 votes.

According to him, “by the power vested on me as the Returning Officer of this election, I declare Garba Musa Maidoki as the winner of the Senatorial election for Kebbi South senatorial district haven scored the highest number of votes and certified the requirement of the law.”

Balarabe commended the political stakeholders for their decorum and understanding during the election process which resulted in a hitch-free exercise.
