Passengers escape unhurt as private jet crash‑lands at Kano airport

No fewer than eleven passengers on Sunday escaped unharmed after a private jet crash‑landed at the Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport (MAKIA) in Kano State.

Eyewitnesses confirmed that the private jet, which was carrying about eight passengers and three crew members, was coming from Abuja when it crash‑landed at about 9:30 a.m. on Sunday morning.

Witnesses said that the passengers and crew were immediately evacuated by an emergency response team, adding that there was no record of injury as a result of the crash.

The management of Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport has secured the crash site and has commenced an investigation into the possible cause of the mishap.
