The PAGE (Prince Adedamola Gbenga Emmanuel) Initiative, a non-governmental organization focused on youth empowerment, community development, and civic engagement, was officially launched in Ogun State on Saturday.
Speaking at the launch, the Founder and CEO of the initiative, NC Adedamola Gbenga, —who also the National Commander of Man O’ War Nigeria, said the initiative was designed to focus on development from the grassroots level.

Delivering the keynote lecture titled “Empowering the Next Generation: A Grassroots Responsibility,” Rev. Chaplain Dr. Adelusi Olusegun Joshua emphasized the importance of development starting at the community level.
“Government cannot do it all. Collective action from foundations, NGOs, and concerned citizens can build a more impactful and sustainable society,” he said, referencing former U.S. President Jimmy Carter as an example of how NGOs can complement government efforts.
On his part, Commander Adekunle A. Alimson, in his goodwill message, welcomed the National Commander to Ogun State. “It is a great honour to receive the National Commander in Ogun State. His resilience, dedication, and visionary leadership, both as the founder of The PAGE Initiative and as the National of Man O’ War Nigeria, are truly commendable,” he said.
The Life Patron of The PAGE Initiative also spoke at the event, commending Adedamola Gbenga for launching the initiative and pledging support for its activities.
“Nations are determined by what happens at the grassroots,” he said during his keynote address.
Meanwhile, Adedamola Gbenga also acknowledged the contributions of various individuals and organizations, including ANC Innocent Okere, National Liaison Officer of Man O’ War Nigeria; MC Adekunle A. Alimson, Commander of the Ogun State Command; MC Olakotan Kehinde, a former commander in the state; and volunteers of the PAGE Initiative.
During the event, the initiative announced several donations as part of its community outreach including 94 full sets of Man O’ War uniforms to members of the Ogun State Command, 20 packs of sanitary pads, distributed equally between the Oyo and Ogun State Commands, reportedly intended to benefit 1,000 girls, 10 branded T-shirts, divided between the two state commands
Others include, one executive office chair to the Man O’ War Nigeria, Oyo State Command and three dozens plastic chairs to the Man O’ War Nigeria, Ogun State Command
Recognition awards were given to individuals for their roles in community service and support.
According to the organizers, the sanitary pad donations are intended to support adolescent girls in underserved communities, while the equipment is meant to aid the operations of Man O’ War Nigeria in the two states.
The PAGE Initiative also provided an office space to the ASOID Area Unit under the Ifo Area Command in Ogun State. The facility is expected to be used for youth engagement and community service programs.
The launch concluded with a reaffirmation of the group’s intention to prioritize youth and grassroots development through sustained community engagement.
