The Commissioner of Police, Oyo State Command, Femi Haruna, has reiterated his commitment to strengthening security across the state through closer collaboration with tactical teams and relevant enforcement agencies.

He gave this assurance on Friday while receiving the leadership of the Oyo State Rule of Law Enforcement Authority (OYRLEA), led by its Chairperson, Honourable Justice Aderonke Adekemi Aderemi (retd), and accompanied by the Executive Adviser to the Governor on Rule of Law Enforcement, CP Sonubi Ayodele Olufemi (retd), at the Command Headquarters, Eleyele, Ibadan.

CP Haruna emphasised that security management in the state requires intelligence sharing and coordinated operational strategies among all agencies. He assured that the command would continue to provide tactical backing and prompt responses to security threats and high-risk incidents in support of OYRLEA’s mandate.

According to him, “The command remains steadfast in ensuring that Oyo State remains safe for all residents. We believe that strong partnerships with agencies like OYRLEA will further boost our operational capacity and ensure quick, coordinated responses to emerging threats.”

In her remarks, Justice Aderemi (retd) said the visit was aimed at deepening collaboration between the Nigeria Police Force and OYRLEA to promote effective rule of law enforcement and maintain public order.

She commended the police for their ongoing support but called for increased synergy, particularly as the authority intensifies its enforcement operations across the state. “When enforcement agencies work in unity, the result is improved security outcomes and operational efficiency,” she said.

Also speaking, CP Sonubi Ayodele Olufemi (retd) highlighted the importance of joint planning in managing emergencies and ensuring safe enforcement activities. He noted that police collaboration with other security and law enforcement bodies was essential to guaranteeing public safety and upholding the rule of law.

Present at the meeting were senior officers of the command, including Deputy and Assistant Commissioners of Police, as well as the Chairman of the Environmental Task Force, DCP Francis Ojomo (retd), who accompanied the OYRLEA delegation alongside other management officials.
