Former Commissioner for Justice and Attorney-General in Oyo State Adebayo Lawal has been sworn in as the new deputy governor for the state in line with Section 191, subsection 3 of the 1999 Constitution.

He was sworn in Monday by the Chief Judge of the State, Justice Munta Abimbola, as a replacement for Rauf Olaniyan, who was removed from office as deputy governor, by the House of Assembly around 11:30 am today.
