The son of the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola, Femi, on Thursday shared N15 million to 300 widows and the aged in Osun Central Senatorial District to mark his birthday.

Beneficiaries were drawn across all the 10 local government areas of Osun Central.

Represented by former Senior Special Assistant to governor Oyetola on Students’ Affairs and Social Mobilisation, Kehinde Ayantunji, Femi said “300 beneficiaries were given N50,000 each which total N15 million as part of a gesture that I identify with vulnerable people as I am celebrating my birthday.

“We must continue to prioritise the love for the aged and care for them at any given time. I have always put them in mind at all times. During festive seasons, I give food packages to households that are vulnerable, this will cushion the effect of harsh economic realities that they might be facing.

“This event was done in partnership with Ileri-Oluwa initiative that has long existed in the state and made a tremendous impact on the welfare of Osun citizens.”

Femi added, “Our candidate of All Progressives Congress(APC) Asiwaju Bola Oyebamiji(AMBO) will be gender sensitive when elected because we are tapping into his campaign agenda to execute this initiative.”

He rallies support of women for the governorship candidate of the APC.

President of Widows in the state, Mrs Afolabi Olanrewaju, promised to mobilise support for the APC governorship candidate to ensure his victory in the August 15th poll.
