The General Overseer of the Living Faith Church Worldwide, Bishop David Oyedepo, has declared a seven-day midnight prayer programme aimed at bringing an end to terrorism, banditry, kidnapping, Boko Haram attacks and all forms of violence threatening Nigeria’s peace and stability.

He made the declaration during the Sunday service at the church’s headquarters in Ota, Ogun State, while preaching on the topic, “Understanding How Faith Facilitates Favour.”

According to him, the seven-day midnight intercession would be observed simultaneously in all Living Faith churches across the world. He described it as a divine mandate instructed by God to confront what he called the genocides and evil sweeping across the country.

“The God of vengeance is alive,” he said, announcing that the prayers were specifically designed to wipe out all evil men, including those who commit the acts, those who support them and those who fund them.

“Whether they are political leaders, sponsors or individuals pushing Nigeria towards destruction, the God of vengeance will respond,” he declared.

He emphasized that Nigeria belongs to everyone and must not be hijacked by any group or interest. He condemned those he accused of attempting to destabilise the nation, saying their actions would attract divine judgment.

He further invoked curses on perpetrators of violence and their sponsors, insisting that the wicked cannot continue to shed innocent blood and expect to go unpunished.

“You kill others and you want to live? No. The wicked shall not live,” he said.

The cleric also urged members of the church to anoint their homes throughout the week of prayer, explaining that the spiritual exercise was part of a direct offensive against forces seeking to destroy the nation.

He maintained that Nigeria would never become an Islamic nation, insisting that those working towards such an agenda were wasting their time.

He recalled biblical instances where God fought on behalf of His people, referencing the destruction of Pharaoh and his army in the Red Sea as an example of divine intervention against oppressors.

He noted that this is the first time he is declaring a seven-day midnight prayer specifically because God asked him to do so, to rescue the nation from the Anakim.

The cleric assured worshippers that the spiritual campaign would mark a turning point for the country.

“As we engage in these prayers, there shall be massive turnaround in Nigeria. The enemies of this nation shall be no more. What they have sown, they shall reap,” he proclaimed.
