The media fronts of the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Osun State, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO), have said that President Bola Tinubu does not believe in Governor Ademola Adeleke’s leadership capacity and will never support his re-election bid.
The group described as “false and unfounded” claims by the state government that President Tinubu has entered into a pact with Governor Adeleke to secure his re-election in the August 15 governorship election.
In a statement by Adebayo Adedeji, Coordinator of AMBO Media Fronts, the group said the rumour is a “calculated attempt” to cover up what it described as the failure of Adeleke’s administration to deliver effective leadership after nearly four years in office.

Adedeji added that the president rejected Adeleke’s earlier efforts to defect to the APC. He also alleged that Tinubu “does not tolerate” leaders whose priorities, according to him, are driven by personal interests rather than the well-being of the people.
The statement further said AMBO recently met with President Tinubu, where he outlined plans to replicate the Renewed Hope Agenda in Osun, particularly in education, agriculture, and infrastructure—and added that Tinubu would not “abandon” such a “serious contender” to support what it called a “bumbler” seeking a second term.
The group also criticised the Adeleke administration over education costs in state-owned institutions, alleging that students of UNILESA and UNIOSUN are made to pay fees as high as N1.5 million per session, a situation it said undermines the federal government’s student loan programme, NELFUND.
It contrasted this with what it described as Tinubu’s position that education should be accessible to every Nigerian child, noting that it believes the president would not support policies that force students to pay exorbitant school fees.
