The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the August 15 election in Osun State, Bola Oyebamiji, has assured residents that, if elected, he will make the state safe for business and create opportunities for citizens to prosper.
Oyebamiji made the remarks during an interactive session at the Osun State Muslim Community (OSMC) Secretariat in Osogbo yesterday.
He said his campaign decision was intentional and that he had put a team in place to identify “critical intervention” areas, particularly in education, healthcare delivery, power generation, agriculture, and workers’ welfare.
He added that his administration would pursue reforms aimed at kick-starting economic growth.

Oyebamiji said that, unlike the current administration, his government would be fair and just, ensuring the equitable distribution of resources across all towns in the state.
Reaffirming his faithfulness to Islam, he stated that he is a “bonafide Muslim” and expressed confidence in Allah for victory on August 15, 2026. He also pledged commitment to peace before, during, and after the election, insisting the poll would be free, fair, and credible.
Receiving Oyebamiji, the President of OSMC, Alhaji Mustapha Olawuyi commended him for his relationship with Muslims since the “inception”, urging him to be fair to all.
Olawuyi also said the Muslim body is not partisan and that, during their engagement, they requested that any incoming government prioritise equity and justice in resource distribution and recognise Islamic law, among other things.
