A total of 202 Police cadets joined the National Police in the Southern Kandahar Province after a two-month training course.

The Director of Police Training Centre in the Province, Alam Gul, disclosed this in Kandahar on Thursday.

He said that all the newly graduated police personnel would be deployed in parts of Kandahar, the birthplace of the Taliban militants to stabilise local security.

Gul said that over 1,000 youths have received training in the police training centre over the past years, adding that some 3,500 cadets were under training in the centre in the restive province. (Xinhua/NAN)
