More than 10,000 young persons recently gathered at the University of Lagos Sports Centre for the fifth edition of the Gen Z involvement in a New Nigeria (GiNN 5.0), a youth-focused leadership and empowerment event that celebrated innovation, entrepreneurship, creativity and civic engagement.
The event, put together by Agomeze Saint Chukwuemeka served as a platform for mentorship, networking, recognition and economic empowerment.
It brought together some of Nigeria’s most promising young minds and established leaders across business, media, politics and enterprise.
According to Chukwuemeka, the success of the event showed the power, hunger and readiness of young Nigerians to build a new national identity.
He said the platform would continue to expand opportunities for young people by connecting them with mentors, investors, brands, institutions and development partners.
Speakers at the event included Kola Adesina, Ayo Animashaun, Bunmi Davies, Gbenga Obadina and Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, who addressed participants on leadership, resilience, entrepreneurship, creativity
and national development.
The GiNN Young Excellence Awards recognised exceptional young achievers, including Oladapo Abdul-Hammed Anjolaiya, Muhammad Sheriff, Kemi Ikuseedun, Destiny Osarewinda, Eric Gugua, Amadou Elizabeth Aminata, Enioluwa Adeoluwa, Seyi Ademoso, Jagbojo Oveze Godwin, Biodun Adedire, Zainab Alayande and Tochi Ifeanyi.
