Our businesses are suffering, Kano businessmen tell FG

The business community in Kano State has appealed to the Federal Government to redouble its support to their businesses with the view to enhancing the nation-’s economy.

The chairman, Kano Business Community, Sabiu Bako, stated this on Friday during a townhall organised by the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris. The chairman admitted that businesses in the state were facing numerous challenges which have impacted negatively on the national economy. He stated that proprietors of businesses in the state were not in the picture of a lot of the interventions initiated by the Tinubu’s administration in the last eight months He appealed to the government to ensure that the community could access these interventions with the aim of enhancing their businesses and building a better economy

He charged the administration to expedite action on restoring adequate power supply to the state.

He also implored the Federal Government to ensure that the programmes and interventions meant for boosting farming and agricultural activities are accessed by the target groups in the state.

Earlier speaking, the minister appreciated the business community in the state, even as he also listed the various business achievements and opportunities initiated by the Bola Tinubu government.
