The Director-General of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Governorship Campaign Council in Osun State, Oluwole Oke has disclosed that some serving commissioners and aides under Governor Ademola Adeleke are expected to join the APC very soon.
Oke made the statement at the Tinubu/Shettima campaign office in Osogbo, while receiving members of the Accord Party (AP) and serving Senior Special Assistants to Governor Adeleke into the APC.
He said more defections were imminent, adding that commissioners were also expected to come over to the APC at the appropriate time for Nigerians to see.

The defectors included Azeez Kazeem, Senior Special Assistance (SSA) to the Governor on the Governor’s Office; Moyoade Lukman, SSA on Market Affairs; Asamo Gbenga, youth leader of the Accord Party in Ife Central; Ojuolape Olagbaju, House of Representatives aspirant and Dr. Leye Olagbaju, House of Representatives aspirant in Ife.
One of the defectors, Dr. Leye Olagbaju, said they would support the APC governorship candidate, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO) for the August 15 election, adding that AMBO would win by God’s grace.
Lukman said he had returned to his roots, saying he had earlier been an APC member before leaving for the PDP.
He described his return as voluntary, saying that he started his political journey as far back as 1978.
