Residents of Osun State have alerted the state government about the invasion of the state by suspected kidnappers.

The village head of Omi Funfun in Ifedayo Local Government of the state, disclosed that some criminals have stormed the state through Omu-Aran in Kwara State.

He explained how the kidnappers operated in his village on Wednesday and killed a driver.

He disclosed that one of the criminals was arrested during the engagement with local hunters.

Special Adviser to Governor Ademola Adeleke, Samuel Ojo, assured that plans had been perfected to prevent intrusion of bandits into the state.

He said Osun was prepared and warned bandits not to invade the state, saying the state government would not take it easy with them.

“We know that the Kwara State Governor is doing something about it and all the neighbouring states which does not exclude us, we are not relenting on our oars to prevent such a criminal situation in our state.

“As soon as we got information about the viral video, the security agencies in Osun State started working towards such an occurrence in the state and we are not going to allow that.

“So, as I am speaking with you, we are taking a proactive measure to prevent such an incident that happened in kwara State; it would never happen in our state by the special grace of God,” Ojo said.
