The Osun State Government has launched a six-month training program focused on network system installation for 100 graduate and undergraduate youths.

This initiative, according to Bankole Omisore, the Special Adviser to Governor Ademola Adeleke on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), reflects the current administration’s commitment to youth empowerment.

Represented by Mrs. Adeyeye Adebanke, the Director of Administration, Omisore declared the programme open at the SDG Centre in Dagbolu, Osogbo.

He explained that the program targets unemployed graduates, undergraduates, and individuals with disabilities. “The training is aimed at those interested in system networking installation. We have a total of 100 youths participating in the training, which will last for six months—four months for training and two months for internship,” he said.

He emphasized that the initiative aligns with SDGs Goal 4 (Quality Education) and Goal 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth). “At the end of the program, we expect participants to have sufficient knowledge of networking, enabling them to stand on their own and contribute to the state’s development,” he added.

The training was organized in collaboration with Fluid Click. Oyewale Peter, representing Professor Segun Aina of Fluid Click, explained that participants would receive essential digital skills, particularly in network system installation. “We aim to equip students with the necessary networking knowledge to prepare them for the job market,” he stated.

A participant, Afolabi Tayo, expressed his enthusiasm for being selected for the program, stating, “It’s a dream come true for me because I’ve been looking forward to this kind of program to fully equip myself in technology and networking. I am a graduate seeking to upgrade my skills and contribute to society.”
