The Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC), Osun State Chapter, has congratulated Senator Ademola Adeleke on his re-election as Governor of Osun State following the August 15, 2026, governorship election.
In a congratulatory statement issued on Monday and signed by the State Chairman, Dr Tosin Odeyemi of the Democratic Leadership Alliance, IPAC also commended the people of Osun for turning out en masse to exercise their civic duty peacefully.
The political leadership praised the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), security agencies, the media, civil society organisations and all stakeholders for ensuring that the outcome largely reflected the true will of the people.
According to IPAC, the election results demonstrate a strong public endorsement of Governor Adeleke’s first-term achievements and a renewed trust in the state’s future.
“We recognize that such confidence comes with greater responsibility to serve all citizens without discrimination. As a council of political parties, we urge Your Excellency to run an all-inclusive government in this second term.
“Governance should transcend party lines. The talents, ideas, and goodwill found within the opposition, among technocrats, women, youths, persons with disabilities, and traditional institutions must be harnessed for the good of Osun,” the statement noted.

IPAC advised that government appointments, projects and policies be distributed equitably across the three senatorial districts and all 30 local government areas, including the Area Office.
The group advised that no community should feel left out, saying: “When everyone has a sense of belonging, peace and development will be faster and more sustainable.”
IPAC cautioned the governor against the common pitfall of second-term complacency, where governance often takes a back seat.
“History shows that the temptation to slow down after re-election can erode the gains of a first term. We encourage you to see this period as an opportunity to finish strong, consolidate existing projects, and initiate new ones that will outlive your administration.
“The people expect improved delivery in critical sectors such as education, health, agriculture, infrastructure, youth employment, and social welfare,” the statement read.
IPAC pledged its commitment to acting as a constructive opposition and a reliable partner in progress, assuring that its criticisms will remain issue-based and support will be extended whenever policies align with the best interests of the people of Osun.
