The Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced that its leadership is currently scrutinising the governorship election results across all 332 wards in the state to determine its next legal steps.
In a statement issued by the party’s Director of Media and Information, Kola Olabisi, the APC stated that it is carefully reviewing the data to explore available constitutional avenues.
“We are not unaware of the fact that an election is a process which begins at voter registration through primary elections to the main election, and extends to the Tribunal, the Appeal Court, and terminates at the Supreme Court.
“An election cannot be said to have been concluded without exploring all constitutionally allowed legal opportunities to correct anomalies observed during the electoral process, as enshrined in the Electoral Act,” the statement added.
The party commended the steadfastness, sagacity and loyalty of its members and supporters, maintaining that as a progressive organisation founded on the rule of law, fairness and justice, it will not hesitate to pursue legal redress upon consultation with its legal team.

Describing the Independent National Electoral Commission’s (INEC) declared results as part of the democratic process, the APC urged its support base to remain calm, go about their lawful businesses and avoid any provocative actions by members of the ruling party.
“It is necessary to assure our members and supporters not to despair about the current situation and to bear in mind that it is not over until it is over,” the party noted.
The APC called on the Nigeria Police Force to intervene and protect its members who are allegedly being molested by the ruling party, assuring them of the leadership’s unwavering support.
“The current situation in the political history of the state is a passing phase which will soon become history as justice shall be done accordingly,” the statement added.
