Following the conclusion of the August 15 governorship election in Osun State, the candidate of the Zenith Labour Party (ZLP), Engr. John Adesuyi, has called for a bipartisan approach to governance, offering to work with the Adeleke administration to implement key development programmes.

In a statement personally signed and made available to journalists on Tuesday, Adesuyi emphasised that the task of building Osun must now take precedence over political differences.

He noted that the ZLP presented several people-oriented programmes in its manifesto capable of complementing the current administration’s efforts.

“The election is over, and the task of building a better Osun State must now take precedence over political differences. Osun State belongs to all of us. The success of the state should therefore be a collective responsibility.

“I would like to respectfully appeal to His Excellency, the Governor, to allow us to work together in the interest of the people of Osun State,” Adesuyi said.

He specifically offered cooperation in implementing his party’s proposed 50,000 employment opportunities through the Agricultural Value Chain, alongside planned infrastructural interventions and other development initiatives.

“These programmes are not about political ownership. They are about the people of Osun State. If there are ideas that can create jobs, empower our young people, improve agriculture, develop infrastructure, and strengthen the economy of our state, we should all be willing to support them irrespective of the political party from which they originated,” the ZLP candidate said.

He added that his party stands ready to contribute ideas, expertise, and support wherever needed to make Osun State better, stressing that governance now requires a renewed commitment to all residents, irrespective of political affiliation.

Engr. John Adesuyi contested the August 15 Osun governorship election, which was won by Governor Ademola Adeleke of the Accord Party.
