The wife of Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, Erelu Ngozi Abeni Adeleke, has commended residents of the state for turning out in large numbers to support her husband’s re-election.
She expressed appreciation to voters for what she described as their love, resilience and kindness during the governorship election.
In a statement following the election, Ngozi Adeleke promised to increase her support for the governor’s administration, particularly in the area of empowerment programmes.
“We thank the people of Osun, for the love, resilience, and kindness demonstrated by them for turning out en masse to re-elect their governor,” she said.
She also pledged that the people would experience greater benefits from the administration’s programmes.
“We assure them that the dividends of democracy will be tripled,” she added.
The governor’s wife said she would personally increase her contribution to the administration’s efforts, with particular emphasis on expanding empowerment schemes across the state.
“I will personally increase my support for this administration, especially through expanded empowerment schemes,” she said.
Ngozi Adeleke also praised her husband’s performance, describing him as a governor who combines his popular dancing persona with his responsibilities in office.
“The dancing governor of Osun is indeed a working governor,” she said.
