Governor Ademola Adeleke has reaffirmed the positive impact of his administration on various sectors in Osun State, asserting that citizens have experienced effective governance over the past three years.
In a statement by his spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, on Sunday, Adeleke emphasised the significant physical infrastructure development in Osun, noting his administration’s commitment to residents’ welfare as a hallmark of transformative leadership. He claimed his governance has restored hope and improved the state’s economic prospects.
Criticising his detractors, Adeleke described them as “unrepentant opposition activists” who refuse to acknowledge progress in the state. He urged citizens not to be swayed by individuals whose past governance allegedly contributed to public suffering.
“In Osun today, it is undeniable that Governor Adeleke has delivered for the people. The effects of good governance are evident, and citizens recognise the remarkable progress achieved,” Adeleke said.

He maintained that reasonable opposition, especially from those who failed in office, should accept the current reality, rather than manipulate public emotions. In contrast to the APC, Adeleke said his administration was focused on addressing wage debts, securing career advancement for workers, quickening pension payments, and delivering wider healthcare coverage, alongside numerous social welfare improvements.
“Osun has never witnessed such infrastructure development, with government presence visible across the state. From new roads and bridges to upgraded healthcare facilities that meet WHO standards, the Adeleke administration is connecting communities. Public school infrastructure has been renewed, and 31 new tractors have been procured to support farmers—an achievement that starkly contrasts with the APC’s record over the past twelve years,” Adeleke added.
He rejected criticisms by Mr Sunday Akere as “defective and error-laced”, casting doubt on Akere’s credibility given his tenure in previous administrations.
“Given his record, it is doubtful any reasonable person would take Mr Akere’s evaluation of governance seriously. He appears to confuse the failures of past governments he served in with this administration’s outstanding delivery for Osun,” Adeleke said.
