African Democratic Congress (ADC) governorship candidate for the 2026 Osun State election, Dr. Najeem Salaam, has encouraged Nigerians to remain steadfast and optimistic, expressing hope that the upcoming year will bring improvements.
In his new year message, Salaam extended his greetings to the people of Osun, characterising the occasion as a time for renewed hope, unity, and a collective commitment to building a better future.
He expressed gratitude to the citizens for their resilience and faith in the face of ongoing socio-economic challenges, stating, “The New Year 2026 presents us with a fresh opportunity to reflect, renew our commitments, and work together for the Osun of our dreams—an Osun that is prosperous, inclusive, and justice for all.”
The ADC flagbearer underscored the importance of purposeful leadership founded on transparency, people-oriented policies, and sustainable development. He acknowledged that Osun State possesses the necessary human and natural resources to thrive if effectively harnessed.
Dr. Salaam called on youths, women, professionals, artisans, and traditional institutions to actively engage in shaping the state’s future, emphasizing that governance is a collective responsibility.
“As we approach the 2026 governorship election, I remain committed to providing visionary and compassionate leadership that prioritizes education, healthcare, job creation, security, and economic empowerment.”
He concluded his message by wishing the people of Osun State a peaceful and prosperous New Year, praying that 2026 will usher in progress, stability and renewed confidence in democratic governance.
“Together, by the grace of God and the will of the people, Osun shall rise to greater heights,” Salaam said.
