Palpable joy and deep feeling of celebration have pervaded Ososa Community in Ogun State ahead of the Ikaro ceremony tomorrow.
During the much-anticipated ceremony, the Gbegande of Ososa Ijebu, Oba Adetoye Alatise, would formally unveil a new age group society, ‘Egbe Arobayo.
The newly formed Egbe Arobayo, according to Chief Akintunde Osisanya (Baba Egbe Arobayo), is a vital initiative aimed at promoting unity, cooperation, and social progress in Ososa.
“The society will empower its members through education, skill development, and collaborative community projects,” said Chief Osisanya.
Chief Omolara Adeyinka Osisanya, Iya Egbe Arobayo emphasised that the group will provide a platform for youth engagement, enable young people in the town to unite for positive causes while preserving Ososa’s cultural heritage.
Chief Muyiwa Oluwo Giwa Arobayo also expressed support for the society, highlighting that the creation of the age group is part of a larger strategy to empower the people of Ososa and enhance the town’s social infrastructure.
While Chief Morenike Akilo Iyalode Arobayo expressed optimism that the formation of Egbe Arobayo will bring transformative benefits, creating lasting positive impacts for both present and future generations in Ososa.
Chief (Mrs) Adebanjo (Otun Iyalode), Abosede Aderekun (Secretary), Babatunde Adesanya (Treasurer), Ilori Olubido (Balogun), Samuel Olusoga (Otun Giwa) and Akeem Salau (Eta Giwa), promised that the programme of the event would be colourful. Arobayo moriyi moyo, oke tente laye wa.
