Victor Osimhen has reportedly demanded at least €10 million (approximately N8, 734,648,302.00 in Nigerian currency) from Napoli to sign a new contract.
If these wages are broken down per month, the Nigeria national teamer is asking for N727, 887,358.50, while he stands to earn N23, 930,543.29 per day and approximately N16, 618 every minute.
According to Il Roma via Calcionapoli, the aforementioned figure is the wages being demanded by the highly sought-after striker to renew his contract with the Italian giants.
Napoli had previously tabled a €7 million yearly offer to the Nigerian forward but had it rejected as he felt that he deserved more.
The Italian champions are now set to meet with Osimhen’s representative, Roberto Calenda for further discussion over a new deal.
The present contract of the 24-year-old ends in 2025 but the Partenopei are desperate to keep hold of their most prized asset beyond this summer.
Napoli President, Aurelio De Laurentiis as well as the club manager, Rudi Garcia has expressed optimism that the Super Eagles forward will remain at the club amidst interest from European heavyweights.
Having helped the Naples-based club to their first Scudetto in 33 years by scoring 26 goals in the Serie A last season, he has attracted the interest of Premier League, French Ligue 1 and Bundesliga giants.
In a swift counter-reaction, the Partenopei have placed a hefty price tag on the prolific striker to scare away interested clubs.
