A group of fruit sellers in Ondo State under the name of Ondo Sanmi Egbe Eleso in Ondo City held a one-day fruit training to sensitize members of the association on the necessity of hygiene and its impact on the society.
The program held at Oyato Bakery at Ondo Ife Road, Ondo State on Saturday 6th April 2024, added that the training was aimed at adding value to the traders’ sales and well-being. We aim to improve people’s livelihood by reducing wastage in fruits.
The community Health Workers representatives contributed to the success of the program include Madam Cecilia Akinwunmi, the Iyaloja of Sabo in Ondo City; Chief Fasan Akinbuju Stephen; the Seriki of Hausas; Ntomic Deborah, task force office; Mofene Market Banana sellers; Alhaji Bolarinwa Anifat, the secretary, Egbe Eleso among others.
The Director of Environmental Department of Ondo West LGA Community Health Workers, Mrs. Stella Akinsanmi in her remarks as a guest speaker cautioned the fruit sellers on negligence and it reciprocal effects on the careless sellers and the entire society.
Alhaja Mariam Olamiposi, a social Activist and head of the Ondo Sanmi Egbe Eleso, emphasized on the need to hold regular program of such and intention to move the activities belong to it’s present limit.
