The Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP) has a new Acting Director General, Olusegun Omotola.
He takes over from Mamman Ahmadu, who was relieved of his appointment by President Bola Tinubu on June 15, 2024.
Omotola, who hails from Ijumu Local Government Area of Kogi State, holds a Bachelor of Law degree from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State, Nigeria. He has attended numerous courses and seminars in capacity building, contract negotiations, and other relevant fields.
In a statement issued by BPP’s Deputy Director Information and Public Relations/Head, Media, Janet McDickson, before his appointment, Omotola was a Director of Legal Services in the BPP.
He has represented the Federal Ministry of Finance on the Ajaokuta Project Presidential Implementation Team and is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association and the Governing Council of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria.
Omotola is married with children and is the most senior Director in the BPP.
