The growing support for the senator representing Edo Central Senatorial District, Sen.Monday Okpebholo to become the next governor of Edo State under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has continued to increase by the day with more people across the three senatorial districts expressing their commitments to his course.
According to one of his supporters, Eugene Utubor in a statement issued in Benin City, Sen. Okpebholo popularly known as Akpakomeza represents a new generation of leaders possessing the requisite skills, experience and passion to rekindle the hope of the people of the state.
Utubor is of the utmost belief that Okpebholo is not only the most credible aspirant but also the most marketable, capable of bringing the state back onto the path of progress, taking into cognizance his forays into business and for successfully managing human resources, as well as his philanthropic gestures.
He further disclosed that his antecedents in the senate reveals that he has garnered significant good will which has placed him well above other politicians in the state and they call on the delegates of the APC to nominate Sen. Okpeholo to fly the party’s flag in the governorship election later this year.
According to him,” Sen. Okpebholo has consistently demonstrated unwavering loyalty to the APC and has been a very reliable politician who can be trusted.
“He is committed and capable to enhance the structures of the party at the ward, local and state levels.
“His track records set him apart as the ideal candidate that can lead the party to Osadebe Avenue”
He also recalls that Sen. Okpebholo has promised to change the narrative of governance in Edo State and makes the state rank among top three economically viable and secure state in the nation.
He added that the APC governorship hopeful had noted that this would be achieved through an inclusive governance model that will allow traditional rulers play vital advisory role to the state government.
