Member-elect, Aguata Federal Constituency, Chief Dom Okafor, yesterday, visited the Special Education Centre for the Deaf and Dumb, Umuchu, Anambra State, and made donations to the students and management in commemoration of his birthday celebration.
Okafor, who contested on the platform of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), was full of appreciation to God for giving him victory, and also to Aguata people for their support during the poll.
He said he returned to the school to thank them for their prayers during the poll.
“Just a year ago, l was here for my birthday celebration while preparing for my party primaries and I requested for your prayers, and you prayed, and everything has worked out well, as God answered your prayers for my victory at the polls.”
Okafor reiterated his commitment to giving Aguata an effective representation at the Green Chambers.
He equally thanked the staff of the school for their service to humanity, as caring for such people demands a lot of sacrifice.
He presented to the centre food items – cartons of noodles, tubers of yam, 50kg bag of rice, assorted drinks and many other items to mark his birthday with the handicapped in the society, as a Rotarian and his usual custom.
In his response, Principal of the School, Mrs. Margaret Ezeoke, appreciated Okafor and his entourage for the show of love and kindness, and prayed for greater blessings upon him.
She urged the students who were excited by the gifts to pray for the member-elect.
